Intent:
- Develop knowledge and understanding of world religions, values, and traditions
- Enable religious and theological literacy for engaging in diverse society
- Embrace and celebrate different faiths represented in the school
- Support development of personal identity and shared human understanding
- Build cultural capital through religious knowledge and experiences
- Encourage questioning and critical response skills

Implementation:
- Uses Jigsaw RE syllabus as curriculum foundation
- Taught across all year groups meeting minimum time requirements
- Focuses on Christianity while introducing other five principal UK religions by end of KS2
- Explores challenging questions about:
  - Life's meaning and purpose
  - Beliefs about God
  - Issues of right and wrong
  - Human nature
- Enhanced through practical experiences like visits to local places of worship

Impact:
- Students develop enjoyment in learning about different religions
- Able to make connections between:
  - Their own lives and others' experiences
  - Local community and wider world
- Acts as connection point between social learning, science, and geography
- Develops understanding and ability to communicate about different cultures and ways of life
