Anglo-Saxons / Earth and Space
This term in Maths, Year 5 are focusing on fractions and shape. They are learning to order and compare, add/subtract and multiply. As well as this they are working hard on their mental maths skills as well as continuing to focus on reasoning and problem solving. In English we will write stories which build Mystery ad Suspense, construct balanced arguments and complete work for our Words in the Wood whole school project. Our topics for the term are the Anglo-Saxons and Earth and Space, which give us lots of opportunities to be creative and to investigate. An exciting term ahead for Year 5!
We are learning about My Personal Best. It uses PE to teach a variety of skills. Our key skill this half term is integrity. We are learning to show integrity in a variety of different contexts. This helps us transfer the skills to other lessons, life in school and the wider environment.
