Aylmerton 2023

Day 1 - We had a great time team building yesterday and managed to dodge some of the rain! We saw so many stars last night, due to the beautiful clear sky. The children all slept well and we are excited for the day ahead. Today we will be visiting Cromer for sand sculptures and West Runton to explore the rock pools.

Day 2 - We had a fabulous walk up the coast yesterday from Cromer to West Runton. We saw a 'Banky', explored Cromer Church and Lifeboat Museum and then found lots of creatures in the rock pools. All had a good night sleep. We are off to study the River Glaven today - from source to mouth. Hopefully our wellies will be tall enough! The children are looking forward to swimming later on this evening.

Day 3 - All of the children and staff had a really good night's sleep. I think all the walking and fresh air is taking it's toll. We had an exciting day yesterday, we explored the River Glaven from source to mouth (I think we took more water away in our wellies than we left behind), we saved a baby squirrel from the water and the coach got an extra coach line from another vehicle (everyone is absolutely fine), before hot chocolate and bed. Off to see the seals today and explore the Marsh habitat and best of all it's Disco night.

Day 4 - Had a fantastic day yesterday... Finally we had some real sunshine! We saw the seals on Blakeney Point and walked all along the shingle ridge before crossing the estuary. Best of all we danced the night away at the disco. We are driving boats on the broads this morning before setting off home. The children have all been fantastic and a pleasure to take away
